Damm completes Manchester United trial & returns to Estudiantes Tecos
The 20-year-old forward, who holds German citizenship, has been training with Sir Alex Ferguson's side since January 20 but will now travel back to the Mexican club
Estudiantes Tecos have confirmed forward Jurgen Damm has completed his trial with Manchester United and is due back with the Mexican club on February 4.The 20-year-old, who has also been scouted by Real Oviedo of Spain, holds a German citizenship and has been on trial with Sir Alex Ferguson's side since January 20.
In a statement, the Mexican second division said that, although Damm had traveled to Manchester, he is expected back in Guadalajara on Monday and will therefore not move clubs this winter.
"Estudiantes Tecos confirms that, thanks to the Pachuca Group [which owns Tecos as well as fellow Mexican clubs Leon and Pachuca] along with other clubs, our player, Jurgen Damm, was invited to be observed directly by Manchester United of the Premier League.
"The forward traveled to England on January 20 to begin a period of observation under the club's coaching staff, as they have two ways to integrate new players into the club and one of those is direct examination by staff in their own facilities.
"Damm will return to our city next weekend and will be back in the Estudiantes Tecos side on Monday, February 4 to continue his participation in the 2013 Clausura."
