The Galatasaray and Morocco international, says his compatriot, who plays in France for Marseille, wants to join a Turkish club and thinks the move would work out for him
The Marseille man has been told he can leave by the club's chairman Louis Nicollin and Amrabat thinks Turkey would be a good destination.
The Galatasary midfielder told Radyospor: "We've had a conversation about how great a city Istanbul is and the competitiveness of the Turkish league.
"He shares my opinion. He told me that he had a great offer from Fenerbahce but the clubs couldn't reach an agreement. He thinks he can be happy in Turkey and is partly motivated by religious reasons.
"He told me that he doesn't know what is going to happen. The situation is complicated. But his initial thoughts about Turkey are very positive.
"But he also said that he received offers from England as well. I don't know which teams those are but he said those offers are very serious."
Belhanda was voted Ligue 1's Young Player of the Year last season and has been linked with a number of teams in this transfer window including Inter, Newcastle and Arsenal.
