The Latics forward will be returning to Italy on loan with the Serie A club after failing to settle in at the Premier League since joining the club in 2010 for €7.6 million
Wigan striker Mauro Boselli has joined Serie A outfit Palermo on loan until the end of the season. The 27-year-old Argentine joined the Latics in 2010 for a club record fee of €7.6 million, but the forward has failed to settle in at the DW Stadium.
Boselli has only managed 15 Premier League appearances during his time at the club, with the former Estudiantes player failing to find the back of the net in a Latics shirt.
Boss Roberto Martinez has confirmed the forward will be making a return to Italy on loan.
"Mauro will go back to Italy where he had a spell with Genoa," Wigan boss Martinez told reporters.
"That was done earlier. That's the reason he wasn't in the FA Cup squad [against Macclesfield]."
