Drogba's agent confirms Juventus interest
By Stefan Coerts
09-Jan-2013 3:00:00 PM
The player's representative has confirmed that he has been in touch with the Bianconeri, but has stressed that a transfer is still far away from completion
Didier Drogba's agent, Thierno Seydi, has admitted that Juventus have contacted him about the Shanghai Shenhua striker's availability, but added that the Serie A champions' interest is not concrete just yet.The Old Lady are keen to add some more firepower to their squad and general manager Giuseppe Marotta revealed earlier this week that they are looking into the possibility of signing the Ivorian amongst others.
However, the Bianconeri's interest is still in its initial stages, and the player is happy to focus on his country's Africa Cup of Nations campaign for now.
"It is true that there has been contact with Juventus. Nothing's concrete at this point, though," Seydi was quoted as saying by Tuttosport.
"Juventus, AC Milan, Celtic are all interesting teams, but Didier is still a Shanghai Shenhua player. He's a great player and he is only thinking about the AFCON at the moment."
Drogba joined Shanghai from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
