'Buy him instantly' - Krul reveals his advice to Pardew over new signing Anita
The Newcastle goalkeeper was approached by his manager for guidance before signing the Ajax midfielder, and the shot-stopper is delighted to have a fellow Dutchman in the ranks
Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul has revealed that manager Alan Pardew sought his advice before signing Ajax midfielder Vurnon Anita. The Mapgies signed the 23-year-old Netherlands international for £6.6 million on Thursday as they aim to improve on last season's superb fifth-place Premier League finish.

And Krul revealed that when Pardew turned to him for his opinion of Anita, the advice he gave was pretty simple.
"When the manager asked me about Anita, I said ‘buy him instantly'," Krul told Algemeen Dablad.
"He gives us a lot of quality in midfield. England is known for kick and rush, but he's the man who can connect defence and attack perfectly."
Krul, who enjoyed a very successful season between the posts for the Magpies, is also delighted that his compatriot's arrival has doubled the Dutch contingent plying their trade on Tyneside.
"I'm really glad that he came to Newcastle, I still know him from the Under-15 Netherlands team," he added.
"After the club went on a French tour, I'm glad there is another Dutchman in the team now."
