Official: Bologna sign Curci on loan from Roma
The 27-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements at the Stadio Olimpico, less than a year after rejoining the Giallorossi from Sampdoria
Bologna have announced that the signing of Gianluca Curci on loan from Roma with a view to making the transfer permanent at the end of the upcoming season. The Rossoblu had been in the market for a new goalkeeper following the departure of Jean-Francois Gillet for Torino earlier this month.
"Bologna announce that they have reached an agreement with Roma for the temporary transfer of Gianluca Curci, with the right of redemption," a statement on the club's website read.
"The goalkeeper has already arrived at the team's training camp and will be presented to the press tomorrow [Tuesday] at 12:00CET."
Curci only returned to the Stadio Olimpico last summer from Sampdoria but the Giallorossi youth team product featured just three times for his hometown club during the 2011-12 Serie A campaign.
