The 21-year-old attacker, who will be out of contract next summer, would allegedly rather end up at the Philips Stadion rather than the Amsterdam ArenAPSV director Marcel Brands has claimed that Heerenveen winger Luciano Narsingh is willing to snub Ajax in favour of a move to Eindhoven.
The two Eredivisie giants have been locked in a tug of war over the Netherlands international, but thus far neither club have been able to agree a fee with the player's current employers.
Brands has already explained that they too remain unwilling to raise their initial offer for Narsingh, but he is at least buoyed by the fact that the Philips Stadion is the 21-year-old's preferred destination.
"Narsingh told us that he would likes to join PSV," he explained.
"But I have read everywhere that we have increased our bid for him. But we have not really done anything yet, so I'm curious to know where such reports come from."
Brands was speaking after PSV's pre-season friendly against RW Oberhausen. Dick Advocaat's men were held to a 0-0 draw by the German outfit but the former Netherlands boss was unperturbed by his side's failure to find the back of the net.
"The result here does not interest me," the 64-year-old stated. "For the players it is mainly a matter of getting fit.
"For a large part of the starting lineup, it was the first full 90 minutes of the season. That they now have some minutes under their belts is more important than the result."
PSV finished last season's Eredivisie place in third place, and will be competing in the play-off round for a place in the upcoming edition of the Europa League.
