Lille line up move for Bosingwa - report
The 2011 Ligue 1 champions are scouring the market for a new right-sided defender, and have identified the out-of-contract Portuguese as a possible candidate
Lille are weighing up the merits of a move for ex-Chelsea defender Jose Bosingwa, according to RMC.The former Portugal international is currently looking for a new challenge in his career after the Blues decided against renewing the 29-year-old's contract following an injury-plagued four years at Stamford Bridge.
Now, he is understood to be a priority for Lille in the event Mathieu Debuchy leaves the club, with reports suggesting that Newcastle are tracking the France international.
However, the 2011 Ligue 1 champions face stiff competition for Bosingwa's signature, as Roma are believed to be after the former Porto defender, who cost Chelsea €20.5 million in 2008.
At Lille, Bosingwa would reunite with Salomon Kalou, who also left Chelsea last week following the expiry of his contract.
