Shakhtar sign Brazil forward Maicon
The Ukrainian double winners have bolstered their ranks by signing the 24-year-old on a three-year deal from Volyn Lutsk
Shakhtar Donetsk have boosted their attacking options by adding Brazilian forward Maicon to their ranks.
The 24-year-old, who will join the Ukranian outfit officially on September 1, played for the youth teams of Fluminense and Flamengo in his native country before joining Volyn Lutsk in 2009, for whom he has scored 29 times in 57 league games.
The Brazilian spent the end of the 2010-2011 campaign on loan at Steaua Bucharest, but the Romanians did not take up the option to make the move permanent.
He scored 13 goals in 24 league games upon returning to Volyn, sharing the topscorer honours with Shakhtar's Yevhen Seleznyov.
Maicon's arrival comes hot on the heels of Marko Devic's transfer to the Donetsk club from Metalist Kharkiv.
