Roma want France defender Debuchy - report

It is claimed in Italy that the capital club are interested in the Les Bleus full-back, as they look to rebuild for next season

Lille defender Mathieu Debuchy is a target for Roma, according to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Giallorossi, who have recently appointed Zdenek Zeman as their new coach, are reportedly in the market for a new defender, and the France international is top of a wish-list that includes Angelo Ogbonna, Porto's Rolando and Jan Vertonghen of Ajax .

Other major European clubs are said to be interested in the 26-year-old, however, most notably Valencia, Bayern Munich and Inter.

Debuchy played 32 times for LOSC last season, scoring four goals as he helped the side to a top-three finish.

He is expected to start for France in Monday night's clash with England, which kicks off at 18:00CET.
