Hamit Altintop close to agreeing Galatasaray move, says agent
The Tukey international's agent has revealed that although negotiations are ongoing, he is hopeful the transfer will be completed soon
Real Madrid midfielder Hamit Altintop is close to agreeing a permanent switch from the Liga champions to Galatasaray, according to the player's agent Reza Fazeli. The 29-year-old has spent just one season at the Santiago Bernabeu after moving to the Spanish capital from Bayern Munich on a free transfer last summer.
However, having struggled to make an impact in the first team, Blancos coach Jose Mourinho recently admitted that he would allow Hamit to move on.
He has been widely linked with a move to Turkey, and it seems his move to the Super Lig champions could be complete by the end of the week.
"Negotiations are ongoing. I can say it's going well," Fazeli told the Dogan News Agency. "I hope this transfer will be concluded by the weekend."
The Turkey international started just one league game for Jose Mourinho's side and has since expressed his desire to play more first-team football.
