Moyes: Pienaar’s Everton future has not been discussed
The Toffees manager has denied rumours that talks over the midfielder’s future at the club have taken place despite the 30-year-old’s loan spell set to end in the summer
Everton manager David Moyes insists no talks have taken place to discuss the possibility of signing on-loan star Steven Pienaar from Tottenham in the summer.
The 30-year-old left Goodison Park for Spurs in 2011, but returned soon after when he failed to gain a permanent first-team place in Harry Redknapp’s side.
Pienaar has cemented himself as a key player since returning to Everton, who have been enjoying an impressive run of form as of late.
When asked if any decision had been made over the midfielder’s future, Moyes replied: "You're probably going to ask me at every press conference and I'm going to give the same answer.
"I genuinely don't think anything will be even talked about until after the end of the season."
