thumbnail Hello,

The Turin giants are looking to add some more depth to their squad this summer and see the versatile Belgium international as the perfect addition to their current roster

Jan Vertonghen could be on his way out of Ajax at the end of the 2011-12 campaign as Juventus have shown an interest in signing the centre-back in the summer transfer window, Tuttosport reports.

The defender has previously been linked with clubs such as Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, and has now caught the attention of the Serie A giants as well.

Vertonghen has a contract with Ajax until June 2013 and the Belgium international recently stated that he will not sign a new deal with the Eredivisie champions.

Therefore, Ajax are widely expected to cash in on the 24-year-old this summer, and Juventus are ready to make a move for the centre-back.

The Bianconeri are looking to add some fresh blood to their defence ahead of the 2012-13 campaign and they supposedly see the versatile Vertonghen as the ideal reinforcement.
