Benfica holding midfielder Javi Garcia is being tracked by several clubs across Europe, his agent has revealed.

The 25-year-old has been an ever-present figure in Benfica's midfield since he arrived at the Estadio da Luz from Real Madrid in 2009 in a €7 million deal.

His performances this season have not gone unnoticed, with Manchester United and AC Milan both reportedly keeping tabs on him.

Javi Garcia's agent underlined that no official offers have arrived, but conceded that interest from foreign clubs in his client is real.

"There are not, and there have never been, any concrete offers," Manuel Garcia Quilon told O JOGO.

"But I can tell you that there are several clubs following him very carefully, especially Premier League clubs. Then there is also one Bundesliga and one Serie club.

"Nothing has been discussed with [Benfica] president Luis Filipe Vieira, but if a good offer for the club and Javi arrives at the end of the season, we will analyse it and then we will see."

The former Spain Under-21 international has a €30m release clause attached to his contract, which runs out in 2014.
