New Paris Saint-Germain signing Thiago Motta has revealed that he's dreamed of playing for PSG ever since compatriots such as Rai, Leonardo and Ronaldinho shone in the French capital.
The midfielder joined the Ligue 1 giants from Inter on deadline day of the January transfer window, and is over the moon with his move to Paris.
"Since I was young I've dreamed of being here, where great players like Rai, Leonardo and Ronaldinho have played. It's very exciting to be competing in a new championship," Motta said on a press conference.
The midfielder will be re-united with Alex, Maxwell and Nene at PSG, players with whom he previously played for Brazil's Under-21 squad, and Motta is relishing the prospect of teaming up with his compatriots.
"I'm very happy that at a club like Paris I'm being reunited with players who I played with such a long time ago.
"It's not an accident to have this new opportunity. When there are Brazilians, it makes it easier for others to arrive."
Motta could make his Ligue 1 debut this weekend, when PSG welcome Evian to the Parc des Princes.
