Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has made it clear that the Ligue 1 table-toppers have made no attempts to sign Real Madrid midfielder Kaka in the winter transfer window.

PSG are continually being linked with a move for the Brazil international, but Leonardo has stressed that there is nothing going on between Kaka and the French giants.

"There is nothing in the rumours linking us with Kaka," Leonardo was quoted as saying by L'Equipe.

"I have a very good relationship with him, however, I have never asked him to move to Paris Saint-Germain."

The PSG director then revealed that the attacking midfielder had the chance to move to Paris at an earlier stage in his career.

"I have known Kaka for 11 years, and when he joined Milan he could have been loaned to PSG."

The 29-year-old Brazilian has a contract with Madrid until June 2015.
