The French stopper insists his sole ambition is to write himself into the history books at Mestalla, after he played down reports suggesting the Red Devils have targeted himValencia defender Adil Rami has distanced himself from reports linking him with a move to Manchester United after pledging his future to the club.
Recent speculation has seen the English champions allegedly pinpoint the 26-year-old as the ideal replacement for injured duo Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic, but speaking to Superdeporte on Wednesday, he spoke of his passion to build a legacy in the Primera Division.
"Currently, I am only thinking about Valencia and fighting for a major trophy like the Copa del Rey," said Rami.
"Here I feel well and my desire is to become an important player of this historic team. Of course the interest of a team like United is nice, but it is not my goal."
Rami joined Valencia during the summer following a successful four-year spell with Lille, where he earned international recognition with France.
