The former Brazil international has voiced his belief that starlet has to move to Europe to become the world's best and added that leaving Brazil has nothing to do with money
The 19-year-old attacker, who recently won the Copa Libertadores with Santos, is being heavily linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, but recently revealed that he wants to remain with his current club until after the 2011 Club World Cup.
"Neymar can go on to become the best player in the world if he leaves Brazil," Ronaldo was quoted as saying by Folha.
"Neymar's potential move to Europe has nothing to do with money. You have to be ambitious if you want to grow as a player. If he decides to stay at Santos, that can be seen as a lack of ambition."
The Brazil international has a minimum fee release clause of €45 million, and his agent recently revealed that there are five clubs that are ready to meet his buy-out clause, but refused to divulge the identity of the interested parties.
Neymar is current taking part at the Copa America and is expected to start in Brazil's opener against Venezuela on Sunday.
