William Hill have slashed the odds on Croatian midfielder leaving Spurs this summer falling to 8/15, while Gunners' captain looks likely to join Barcelona in the summer

Despite Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy promising supporters Luka Modric is not for sale the midfielder wants away from White Hart Lane. William Hill make the Croatian 8/15 to leave this summer, and 11/8 to remain at Spurs next season.

Chelsea are believed to have increased their original bid of £22 million to £25 million, however, Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has promised Modric that the team does have ambition to keep up with the big four.

Across north London Cesc Fabregas’ odds to join boyhood team Barcelona have gone down to 8/13 from 4/6 with William Hill, and 6/5 to remain at the Emirates next season.

Fabregas is said to have grown frustrated with the lack of silverware at Arsenal and says Barcelona can guarantee trophies.

Chelsea have set a deadline for next week to decide on their next manager after Carlo Ancelotti was sacked at the end of last season.

Guus Hiddink is the 1/4 favourite, with Mark Hughes second favourite at 7/2 with William Hills. Porto’s Villas-Boas has been cut from 8/1 to 9/2 while Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has dropped to 10/1. Barcelona’s Pep Guardiola is an outsider at 20/1.

Following Alex McLeish’s controversial move to Birmingham rivals Aston Villa last week, the Blues are looking to act quickly.

Former Newcastle United manager Chris Hughton is 1/2 favourite to take over at St Andrews. William Hills make Roberto Di Matteo a close second at 9/4, with Billy Davies 8/1, Alan Shearer 9/1 and Gianfranco Zola 11/1.
