El Madrigal chief has claimed that there are a number of clubs want the 24-year-old Italy international but he has received no bids since the transfer window opened
Speculation has been rife in the Spanish press that 'El Bambino' is on the Camp Nou wishlist, and the former Manchester United forward's agent has recently stated his client would be interested in a move, event if he was not guaranteed a starting XI place week in, week out.
Despite this, as yet there have been no firm bids for the 24-year-old.
"Talks have not [happened] here, and we have not [received] offers from any club," the club chief told Marca.
"The player is on vacation. [As] I said he wants to be here, [he is] happy, and wants to stay," he continued.
The Yellow Submarine finished fourth in La Liga in 2010-11, qualifying for next season's Champions League and will need their best players if they are to compete both in Europe and domestically.
"[Rossi] is a key player, is an important player and therefore the club has him and his goals for next season [in mind]. We face a great year and [will] do it with the same enthusiasm as always. We will make an effort to have better equipment and [be] more competitive to cope with all three competitions," he continued.
The club supremo also warded off interest in Spanish international midfielder Borja Valero, who has also been the subject of transfer speculation.
"He is a very good player and has four years of contract here," he concluded.
