Roma Keeping Tabs On Palermo's Abel Hernandez - Report
Palermo attacker Abel Hernandez has attracted the interest of ambitious Serie A side Roma with his good performances for the Sicilians.
By Stefan Coerts
Uruguayan international Abel Hernandez could be on his way out of Serie A side Palermo at the end of the season as fellow Italian outfit Roma have shown an interest in signing the forward, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
The Giallorossi are eager to add to their ranks in the summer transfer window and they reportedly consider the 20-year-old to be the perfect addition to their attack.
Hernandez started his professional career with Central Espanol and also wore the jersey of Penarol before joining Palermo in the summer of 2009.
The young attacker has since developed into an important first-team player at the Rosanero and his good performances haven't gone unnoticed in the capital, with Roma looking to identify transfer targets for a major rebuilding project under new owner Thomas DiBenedetto.
However, Hernandez won't be available on the cheap if the Lupi decide to make a move, as his current contract with the Sicilians runs until 2013.
