Barcelona midfielder Javier Mascherano has brushed off rumours of a move to Chelsea and claimed he is "calm" about his role at the Catalans.
The Argentinean has found a regular starting place in the La Liga champions' midfield difficult to come by after joining from Liverpool last summer for £18 million.
Inter, Juventus and Chelsea have been reportedly linked with talks to sign the 26-year-old at the end of the season but the midfielder claimed he would rather stay at Barca, something he dubbed a "priviledge".
Mascherano said in The People: "I’ll stay and fight for my place at Barcelona.
"I have heard the rumours, but I am calm about my situation.
"I have spoken to nobody because I see my present and my future at Barca, and I don’t want to leave this summer.
"It is a privilege to play some minutes in this super-squad and my mission now is to be patient, to learn and to perform at my best when opportunities come."
