Milan Chiefs Adriano Galliani & Ariedo Braida In Munich To Close Deal For Mark Van Bommel - Report
Milan have unfinished business on the transfer market as they return to Germany to seal Mark Van Bommel deal with Bayern Munich...
By Salvatore Landolina
Milan's transfer muscle is flexing again as they lift the transfer for Bayern Munich's Mark van Bommel off the ground.
What seemed like a move in decline has suddenly been restored as Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani and transfer sidekick Ariedo Braida have flown to Munich for the Dutchman.
Il Corriere dello Sport claims both men are in Germany to sign the 33-year-old midfielder and show Milan's strong suit on the transfer market has prevailed once more after landing Urby Emanuelson from Ajax at the weekend.
Negotiations centre around the player's wages and contract duration. Once those have been detailed Milan will be free to fly back to Italy with Van Bommel in the bag, the latest indications suggest this will happen tonight.
On Sunday night Galliani suggested there would be more arrivals when he claimed: "There is still a week of market left and we will try not to throw it away."
