Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has told directors to pounce for Barcelona ace Zlatan Ibrahimovic if they get the chance, knowing a deal will be herculean, but he is offering Kaka in an attempt to open up the Blaugrana's appetite to trade.

El Mundo Deportivo claims Mourinho wants Ibrahimovic as a replacement for Karim Benzema, who has allegedly been involved in less than perfect matters off the pitch.

And, having coached the hitman at Inter, Mourinho would have no problem in getting the best out of 'Ibra'.

The coach is keen on having a traditional number nine in his squad, and his penchant for powerful strikers is clear, having coached Didier Drogba at Chelsea and Diego Milito at Inter.

However, he faces hefty opposition for Ibrahimovic, who claimed he was "tired of rumours" and that he would "be staying at Barcelona".

That was echoed by his agent Mino Raiola, who maintains his client will not be leaving Camp Nou, despite the arrival of David Villa which has put his place under scrutiny.

In order to unlock the shackles, Mourinho is considering offering Kaka as part of the deal despite knowing their historic rivals are not keen on trading players.

Deals between the two clubs rarely take place. The transfer would be a tempting swap, as neither coach sees their player as part of plans for next season, and the move would be a way of offloading unwanted goods.

However, reports in Spain are conflicting. Sport.es insists Ibrahimovic will not be leaving under any circumstances.
