Former Salgaocar and Sporting Clube de Goa midfielder Micky Fernandes signed for Goan club Dempo after a stint at Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan for one season.
"At last I signed for Dempo," Micky said with a smile and a sigh of relief. "I am happy to come back to Goa and to play here. I was holding talks with a couple of other clubs before I signed for Dempo."
The ex-India midfielder thanks the Dempo management and coach for having faith in his abilities to deliver for the club.
"I am thankful to Dempo management and coach for having faith in me and I hope to do well under him (Armando Colaco)," he said having signed a two years contract with the Panjim outfit.
Micky Fernandes can certainly expect a lot of responsibility on his shoulders with a large part of Colaco's midfield currently out lending their services for the country.
