Barcelona Resigned To Selling Manchester City Target Zlatan Ibrahimovic To Fund Move For Arsenal Skipper Cesc Fabregas - Report

Fabregas
Barcelona are believed to be resigned to selling their striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic in order to raise the funds necessary to make a move for Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas.

The Catalan club are mired in financial problems, and have already sought out a credit extension of about £120 million.

The club's president, Sandro Rosell, has maintained that they remain financially stable and would not be under any significant pressure due to recent events.

However, the sale of defender Dmytro Chygrynskiy back to Shakhtar Donetsk after he'd spent only a year at Camp Nou was viewed as a direct response to the club's financial problems.

In the meantime, Barca have made no secret of their desire to take Fabregas back to his mother club, but have maintained that they would not pay "over the odds" to secure his signature.

Now The Daily Star reports that the Spanish heavyweights will have to sell Ibrahimovic if they want to land the 23-year-old Gunners' midfielder.

Fabregas is currently at World Cup 2010, where his country will face Netherlands in Sunday's final of the tournament.
