Arsenal Make £8m Offer For Lorient Defender Laurent Koscielny - Report

Laurent Koscielny - Lorient defender
Arsenal have made a new bid of £8 million for FC Lorient centre-back Laurent Koscielny, according to The Sun.

The report claims that the Gunners have given the French outfit until Thursday to respond to the bid, after an initial offer of £6m was turned down.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is understood to be keen to conclude a deal before flying off to the World Cup finals this week.

The player himself has reportedly negotiated a four-year contract and is desperate for the two clubs to reach a deal as soon as possible.

Koscielny's arrival could well spell the end of the career of William Gallas at the Emirates, with the veteran's exit looking increasingly likely.
