Inter president Massimo Moratti is ready to open the door for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and foster a return from Barcelona, but only if he admits turning his back on the Nerazzurri for La Liga back-fired.

Ibrahimovic was desperate to leave the club and join Barcelona last year so he could win the Champions League.

Inter won it instead, and Moratti was keen to remind the Sweden striker he is welcomed to return, but under certain conditions.

"I would bring Ibrahimovic back one day, but only if he tells me that he made a mistake by leaving Inter," Moratti told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I admire him, regardless of everything else. He made us win two championships almost on his own.

"However, his market value is high, and I don't think we would be able to afford his high wages."

Moratti says Mario Balotelli is one striker who is guaranteed a future at the club.

"He has such a great talent. Before selling him we would have to think about it many times, which is why we will be keeping him," he concluded.

Earlier, Ibrahimovic's agent reiterated that a Barcelona exit was unlikely.
