Former Italy coach Roberto Donadoni has rubbished press reports that he has been sounded out to become the next Milan boss.

The Rossoneri have been linked with a host of names since Leonardo left the club by mutual consent last week after just a season in charge.

Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani has stressed that Donadoni is not yet a candidate for the job and the former Napoli coach was on the same wavelength last night.

“There is no truth in it for the time being,” he told MilanNews.it. “It’s a role that the media have to play. But I was not summoned by Milan to replace Leonardo.

“Still, I am keeping calm and once there will be something concrete to it, you will be notified.”
