Milan's pool from which to select a new coach is swelling as former Italy boss Roberto Donadoni has been added to the list, according to Il Giorno.

So far, Filippo Galli, Mauro Tassotti, Marcello Lippi, Frank Rijkaard, Massimiliano Allegri, Marco Van Basten and Giovanni Stroppa are all names that have been floated around Milanello.

And Donadoni is the latest man to be viewed as a likely candidate, despite his failures at Napoli last year before being ousted and replaced by Walter Mazzarri in October.

Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani is now expected to open up dialogue with the Italian after receiving a nudge from president Silvio Berlusconi.

The Italian chief likes the former midfielder given his close ties with the club after playing for them for 10 years until 1996.

Donadoni was one of Berlusconi's first signings when he took over the club in 1986.
