Ronaldinho Offered A Two-Year Extension With Milan - Agent
But money has yet to enter the picture…
By Vince Masiello
Ronaldinho is ready to pledge his future to Serie A giants Milan by penning a new deal that would keep him at the club until June 2013, according to the the player’s brother and agent, Roberto de Assis.
Ronaldinho’s existing deal will run out next year and the Brazilian was vague about his future after the Rossoneri’s final game of the Serie A season last Saturday.
But his agent has now reassured the San Siro faithful after holding positive talks with chief executive Adriano Galliani.
“I met with Galliani and we will meet again when ‘Dinho’ comes back from his holidays,” de Assis told La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper.
“My brother has one more year left on his contract with Milan and plans to honour it.
“Milan are also well-disposed. Galliani is ready to extend Ronaldinho’s contract by one or two years.”
There have been suggestions in recent weeks that Milan will ask the ex-Barcelona man to take a pay cut, but his brother says the wage issue was not on the agenda.
“No, we have not talked about money yet,” he concluded.
