AC Milan Deny Sale Rumours

Serie A giants Milan have rejected speculation that negotiations are underway to sell a major stake in the club.

Sky Sport 24 alleged yesterday that talks were already at an advanced stage with a Russian-based consortium who are interested in taking over a 40-45% stake in the Rossoneri.

A brief statement released on the club’s website last night read: “AC Milan firmly deny the existence of ongoing negotiations to sell stakes in the club.”

Milan president Silvio Berlusconi is under pressure from fans protesting at his ownership and a section of the San Siro faithful voiced their malcontent at the club's lack of investment during Saturday’s 3-0 defeat of Juventus in Serie A .
