Milan Consider Italy Coach Marcello Lippi As Leonardo Replacement - Report
Lippi's name has resurfaced in Milan...
By Salvatore Landolina
Milan are pondering a move for Italy coach Marcello Lippi after Leonardo confirmed his end of season exit.
The Brazilian, and CEO Adriano Galliani announced the move on Friday, claiming the separation was "difficult, but amicable". And, now the race is on to find a new man.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claim club chief Silvio Berlusconi admires the Italian, but he would have to wait until he leaves the Azzurri - something that might not suit the club as they want to plan early for next season.
The favourites to come in are already in-house. Leonardo's assistant coach Mauro Tassotti and former midfielder Filippo Galli are being tipped to take over the bench.
But, on Friday reports churned up the Claudio Ranieri of Roma idea. However, he is unlikely to leave the Lupi following a stellar campaign.
