Rumours are running rampant and wild in the Spanish press that Jose Mourinho is set to take on the coaching duties at Real Madrid next season, but today in a post-training press conference, Sergio Ramos declared his support for current tactician Manuel Pellegrini.

"We have confidence in our current coach. We are happy with the work Manuel Pellegrini has done and we will see what happens next season. At the club there are people who worry about and decide such matters. For us, if he were to serve out the term of his contract, we would be delighted", said the Madrid fourth-captain in comments reported by Marca.

With respect to the Liga race, Ramos refused to throw in the towel, declaring his wish to win La Liga, but also acknowledging the unlikelihood that Barca would lose on Sunday.

"I have always believed in miracles. We will try to win our match and then hope that Barca falter. There remains a sliver of hope.

"If we don't win anything, it will be difficult. But the title cannot be shared. Both teams have had a great season in La Liga with a huge number of points. But only one can win."

Ramos continued to stress the importance of taking care of business against Malaga on Sunday.

"We cannot count on the Barca match. We have to win our match and Malaga is playing for a chance in La Primera. We know we have a difficult game waiting for us."

Finally, Ramos commented on Cesc Fabregas' declarations that if he left Arsenal, he would sign for Barca.

"If Cesc has said this, it will be what he wants. We are open to every kind of player and I also believe that having a base of national team players is fundamental. Both Cesc and David Villa are friends of mine in La Seleccion and both players have the quality we would love to have in our team."
