Liverpool's New Signing Jonjo Shelvey Was So Bad At Shooting He Broke The Same Window Twice, Reveals School Teacher
Highly-rated youngster was a 'smashing' pupil

But Kopites sat in Row Z should perhaps be prepared to duck, if comments from one his former teachers are anything to go by.
Carol Mason, head teacher at Brentwood County High School, told Goal.com that Essex-born Shelvey will forever be remembered at the school for blasting a ball and smashing the same glass window twice.
Mason said: "We are all really pleased for Jonjo. He was a nice guy - not particularly interested in school work but very driven in terms of his football.
"The abiding memory will always be when he broke the same kitchen window twice because his shooting was so wild. He would play football with his mates at this area the size of a tennis court, and he hit the ball so hard and far from the goal that he broke the same kitchen window twice - so he was consistent - but consistently bad."
Ms Mason, who also taught Shelvey in Maths said: "He was no angel at school - a typical lad, but had a good sense of humour and apart from the window smashing, he stayed out of trouble on the whole.
"He still has friends here and occasionally pops in. He gets a lot of attention with his Audi TT and personalised number plate!"
She added: "His family will be very proud of the move to Liverpool. They were always very keen that he should pursue a career in football and gave him all the support he needed. The school also approved for him to have days out for training with Charlton and it's obviously paid off."
Shelvey, an England Under-17 international, has joined Liverpool in a £1.7 million deal. He made 48 appearances for Charlton since becoming their youngest ever player when he made his debut aged 16 years and 59 days in April 2008.
He is also their youngest goalscorer in both the league and FA Cup and established himself as an important part of the League One side's first team this season, scoring four goals in 27 appearances in all competitions.
