Milan have rekindled their interest in Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos, reports AS.

Ramos is currently in talks with Real over a contract extension to his current 2013 deal, but the club have deferred a decision because he is asking for €6million per annum.

Milan are now said to be making enquiries into his availability for next season should he fail to reach an agreement with Real over a new deal.

But voices in Italy are scepitcal as to whether a serious move for Ramos will take flight.

The Rossoneri are looking to retrench during the summer transfer market, suggesting big money moves are less than likely.
