thumbnail Hello,

The Mirror claims that Stoke City are preparing an ambitious bid to bring in Oriol Romeu, the Barcelona youngster, on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

Pep Guardiola handed the 18-year-old midfielder his first-team debut in last month's friendly against Kuwaiti club Kazma, just prior to Barca's entry into the Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi.

Romeu has starred for the Catalan giants' reserve team and is part of the Spain Under-21 setup, but it is expected that he will be shipped out to gain experience elsewhere.

Stoke boss Tony Pulis is reportedly eager to land the classy youngster as part of his attempt to remodel a Potters squad that is often dismissed as one-dimensional.
