Arsenal Have Signed Brazilian Youngster Wellington Silva - Agent
Fluminense striker believed to be joining Gunners in 2011...
The 16-year-old, who plays for Fluminense, will not join up with his Arsenal team-mates until his 18th birthday in January 2011 due to FIFA regulations.
Silva impressed during a trial with the Gunners in December 2008 after scoring four goals in a youth match against Norwich City.
Arsenal are believed to have already paid 65% of the transfer fee with the remainder to be paid when the player joins the Gunners in 2011.
The player's agent, Rodrigo Pitta, said: “We completed the transaction last week, the player is already Arsenal's and Fluminense have already received some money.”
Silva has represented Brazil at Under-17 level in both the World Cup and South American Championship.
