Liverpool To Sell Ryan Babel & Andriy Voronin To Fund Arda Turan Deal - Report
Benitez apparently came close to signing Turan in the summer in a £9 million move, but the deal was never concluded.
With money currently tight at Anfield, the Reds boss must clear some space in his squad before he can bring in any reinforcements, as well as raise some funds with which to wheel and deal in January.
Left-back Andrea Dossena also looks set to depart, with reported interest from Russia and Italy.
Turan, 22, is also reportedly admired by Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, but it seems that the winger himself favours a move to Merseyside.
"When I've finished my business at Galatasaray, I will be happy to move on," he said.
"I most want to play at Liverpool because of the culture of the club and the fans."
