Bengkok, a 22 year-old midfielder from Mizoram, joined Chirag after playing few seasons in Chennai and Bangalore.
Bengkok was very active in the Chirag line up during most of their pre-season ties in the Durand Cup and the IFA Shield, but due to the presence of a highly talented Chirag midfield, he could make only two appearances in the I-League.
Confirming the news, Shillong Lajong Coach Stanley Rosario mentioned that Bengkok is a talented player and he was looking to keep him at the club for a long time. The midfielder shall also be part of the Lajong squad for the Federation Cup.
Shillong Lajong has offered Bengkok a loan contract till the end of 2009-10 season.
