Former Roma Coach Luciano Spalletti Working Towards Success At Zenit St Petersburg
The coach has fully embraced the Zenit project...
The former Roma coach was appointed at the Russian club last week after agreeing to a three-year deal. He is eager to bring the good times back to St Petersburg and he has promised to act quickly and engage fully in the project in front of him.
"It's a young club who are ready, organised and have the will to work hard," Spalletti told Il Corriere Dello Sport.
"It appears I have an important project to carry on my shoulders, but we will see how it goes."
Despite his new-found enthusiasm, Spalletti is well aware he faces an uphill task, but hopes the rays of fortune will shine upon him.
"Our work is difficult and strange. I have had a little luck until now. I hope to enjoy more fortune for the year ahead," he concluded.
