Luciano Spalletti Wants Roma Target Roman Pavlyuchenko At Zenit St Petersburg
The tactician is scheming to snatch the Tottenham hitman from under the noses of his former club…
The news will come as a shock to Roma who had been heavily linked with the want-away 27-year-old in recent weeks after his representative revealed the Lupi directors had made contact with the London club.
Spalletti left Roma by mutual consent after the opening two games of the Serie A season and is now said to be ready to commit to Zenit for two years on wages of €82,000 per week.
The Tuscan tactician has apparently agreed to relocate to Russia after Zenit secured a Champions League spot after defeating Spartak Moscow in the final day of the season on Sunday.
Zenit are said to be prepared to table an offer in the region of €11 million to prise Pavlyuchenko away from White Hart Lane, while Roma are considering a swap deal involving Brazilian hitman Julio Baptista.
