Barcelona & Sevilla Vie For Ajax Full-Back Urby Emanuelson - Report
The starlet could be set for a switch to Spain, with big sides chasing his signature...
Diario de Sevilla comments that both clubs see the Dutchman as a long-term prospect in the left full-back slot, with Sevilla in particular keen to secure the services of the exciting 23-year old.
Rojiblancos coach Manolo Jimenez has been rocked by the desire of his Brazilian utility man Adriano to move on in the summer, with Real Madrid a mooted destination, and he is looking to have a ready-made replacement should the deal go through.
It is thought that a bid in the region of €10m would bring Ajax to the table, a fee that both sides are willing to meet.
However, Emanuelson’s defensive performances this season have prompted a tactical reshuffle, with the player moving into a more advanced role and appears settled in his new position.
Barcelona, meanwhile, have Eric Abidal and Maxwell who can operate on the left, but it appears coach Pep Guardiola is looking for new blood.
