Report: Francesco Totti Pens New Roma Deal
‘Er Pupone’ has reportedly signed on the dotted line, but an official announcement will be released next week...
It is suggested the long-awaited signature arrived last Wednesday at Villa Pacelli, the club’s headquarters.
The 33-year-old will earn €5 million per season and has been guaranteed a position in the Lupi backroom staff once he retires.
Roma are expected to make things official next week, after President Rosella Sensi has ratified the deal with her own signature.
However, there are conflicting reports in the Eternal City and Totti’s personal trainer, Vito Scala, has denied that the saga is formally over, although he admitted the parties are approaching the finish line.
“It’s all done, he just needs to sign on the dotted line…” Scala said after Roma’s 2-1 win over Fulham in the Europa League.
Totti resumed light training at Trigoria yesterday morning after undergoing knee surgery last month and should return to action after the international break.
