Roma Ready To Sell Alberto Aquilani To Liverpool – Report
Reports suggest there is a change of intention at Trigoria, and the Eternal City club are ready to trade...
Roma are ready to cash in on Alberto Aquilani by selling him to Premier League side Liverpool, according to Il Corriere Dello Sport.
Despite the denials coming from Trigoria over the last few days, today's report is convinced the Italian club will sell their man to the Reds. In the event that Real Madrid push through a move for Xabi Alonso, the English side would need to fill the void. In addition, it is suggested the Giallorossi need to balance their books and require around €30 million in order to do so.
Roma coach Luciano Spalletti has already revealed the club would consider a big offer for Aquilani if it arrived. Giallorossi directors Bruno Conti and Daniele Prade, as well as agent Franco Zavaglia, have denied the player will be sold, but the feeling around Trigoria is that the club are ready to trade for the right money.
It is said the move depends on Alonso. If the Spaniard moves from Anfield, Liverpool are expected to strengthen their relationship with the Lupi in order to land 'Il Principino'.
