Roma To Cash In On Simone Perrotta - Report
The Giallorossi could decide to sell the veteran midfielder, according to reports...
Roma are considering offloading midfielder Simone Perrotta in an attempt to raise funds for the transfer market, according to reports in Italy.
Calciomercato.com claims the Giallorossi are looking to cash-in on the Italian after Vinicio Fioranelli's takeover bid failed. Reports in Italy claim the powerful businessman's hopes of acquiring a major stake in the club have been dashed, leaving Roma to look elsewhere in order to raise capital.
Perotta has a year left on his current Roma deal, but the club have not moved in to secure his future. No deal has been forthcoming, fuelling speculation that the Italian was heading for a summer move.
Last week the player's agent Giuseppe Bozzo claimed German champions Wolfsburg, and Bayern Munich were keen on the 2006 World Cup winner.
"I have not had direct contact with Bayern Munich or Wolfsburg, but I do know that both clubs are thinking about it," Bozzo told German sports site Spox.com.
Despite the speculation in Italy, neither Roma nor Perrotta have made an official comment over his future.
