Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is staying cool as the transfer market begins to heat up by claiming the club has time to bring in a top-class hitman.

Galliani has been keeping his eyes firmly locked on Luis Fabiano after the chase for Wolfsburg star Edin Dzeko fizzled out. Reports claimed he was set to travel to Seville for high-powered talks with Sevilla for Fabiano. However, the chief was in Milan this afternoon wining and dining with transfer consultant Ernesto Bronzetti and he spared a moment to give an update on his transfer plans.

"We will go to pre-season without a new striker, but someone will arrive. There is still plenty of time as the transfer market is very long," Galliani told Sky Sport Italia when asked about the progress regarding his striker search.

The chief was in no mood to speak with his mouth full, but he did hint that he is still on the watch for Porto defender Aly Cissokho, despite the plug being pulled on the move.

"The transfer talks for Cissokho is still on standby," concluded the chief.

Although Galliani stayed quiet over which striker would come in, Sky Sport Italia are speculating that Fabiano is the favourite as Bronzetti has big links to Spanish football.
