Ajax will face AC Milan without Lerin Duarte and Siem de Jong after both missed their side's 4-0 win over NAC on Saturday.
The Amsterdam side secured a comfortable 4-0 victory, with Davy Klaassen netting a hat-trick and Bojan Krkic adding a fourth, to leave them two points behind Vitesse at the top of the Eredivisie.
However, both Duarte and De Jong sat out the encounter and will miss their side's crucial Champions League game against the Rossoneri at San Siro.
De Jong has been out of action since picking up a hamstring problem in the Netherlands' 0-0 draw with Colombia on November 19, while Duarte suffered a similar injury after his team's 4-0 win over Den Haag at the start of December.
Ajax coach Frank de Boer conceded in a press conference that the duo, along with Denmark youngster Nicolai Boilesen, will not feature in Wednesday's showdown, though striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson may recover in time.
The 32-time Dutch champions go into the Champions League decider with Milan knowing that only a win will secure progress to the last 16.
Ajax sit third in Group H with seven points, one behind the Rossoneri, as they look to reach the knockout stages for the first time since the 2005-06 season.
