The Sweden International believes squad rotation is a necessity for long-term success, as well as hailing the competitiveness of ToulouseParis Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has outlined the importance of resting key players in order to ensure a successful season.
Having maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 2-0 win over Ligue 1 rivals Toulouse on Saturday evening, les Parisiens must not turn their attention to the Champions League and Wednesday's crunch clash with Benfica.
In light of the hectic and demanding nature of their current scheduled, Ibrahimovic believes that Laurent Blanc is right to rotate his squad as much as possible.
"We have many matches, one every three days, and it's hard to be 100 per cent in every game," Ibrahimovic told Le Parisien.
"But we are preparing very well and manages to keep the right balance between training and matches.
"This is also why we have made a lot of changes, a lot of players were allowed to rest, which allows players who play less to play more regularly."
Ibrahimovic also expressed his delight at his side's victory over Toulouse and took the time to praise their opponents.
"It was a tough game, very difficult," he explained. "Toulouse is a good team and it is always difficult for their opponents. But we managed to win, and that's all that matters."
Ibrahimovic joined PSG from AC Milan last summer and his goals fired the capital club to their first French title since 1994.
