thumbnail Hello,

Goal talks to a few Indian supporters of the two German clubs, as they go head to head at Wembley for the UEFA Champions League crown...

Bayern Munich play Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League final tomorrow night in a clash that will see one of the two being crowned the Champions of Europe. It’s an all German final for the first time in the history of the competition and the run to the final of both the teams has enhanced the reputation of the Bundesliga this campaign.

Here Goal speaks to a few fans of the Bundesliga  who elaborate on their respective team's chances in the highly anticipated clash.

Bayern Munich

Both sets of players have a point to prove to their respective fans. Jurgen Klopp’s side has had a dream run in the Champions League this season and are in good form to win the trophy. On the other hand, Bayern are reaching the final of the Champions League for the second consecutive year and will be desperate to win the title this time round. The game is going to be a very special night for the German fans . I think Die Roten have an edge over Dortmund in all positons on the field and thus a Bayern victory looks set with a 3-2 scoreline.

Bayern have an opportunity to worsen Dortmund’s humiliation, having already stolen their key playmaker Mario Gotze.  And I believe they will certainly win and be crowned the Champions tomorrow. Bayern have learnt enough from their defeats in finals of cup competitions in the past few years and can overcome an inexperienced side like Dortmund.

But Dortmund have it all to play for at Wembley which could prove it to be another David vs Goliath story. Bayern, though are my best bet.

I think Bayern have much more depth in their squad as compared to Dortmund. Frank Ribery, Thomas Muller, Bastian Schweinsteiger will all be key players in the final and will need to turn up for Jupp Heynckes' side tomorrow. Their defense though will not have an easy night as they need to stop Robert Lewandowski from scoring at all costs. I predict that Bayern Munich will put up a strong tactical performance and register a 2-0 win.

Vernon D’Cruz

The absence of Bayern bound Mario Gotze will be a big blow for Jurgen Klopp’s side as they look to win their second Champions League trophy. Not only that, but the ruthless manner in which Bayern have won the Bundesliga this season has also left a impact on their rivals. Dortmund, in my opinion have been handed too tough a task at the final hurdle and this is where their dream will end this season.

It’s Bayern’s third participation in the final since 2010 and in the previous two instances, they have to swallow a bitter pill. Victory here at Wembley against their Bundesliga rivals will erase all that, which is why Die Roten will be pepped up more than Jurgen Klopp’s side. I predict an end to end game with players who have lightening pace in both sides dominating the game, though victory will only be Bayern’s by a 3-1 margin.

Borussia Dortmund

Arman Agarwal

I think Jurgen Klopp’s side has a bit of an edge going into the big game as they are a fearless side. Having beaten Real Madrid and Malaga in the manner they have, it shows the never say die attitude they have and they can thus prove a hard nut to crack for Bayern. Although Bayern will also be high on confidence, they have fallen short on the final hurdle a couple of times now, which makes me think Dortmund can win it for themselves.

Borussia Dormtund for me will win the final of the Champions League this year. They have been a tough side in Europe this season, with a free flowing attack backed up by a strong defense. Although Gotze’s absence will hurt them, Reus, Lewandowski and Gundogan will look to test a strong Bayern outfit who will themselves try to put their 4-4-1-1 to good use. Mario Mandzukic will look to drop deep to suffocate Dortmund’s midfield and try to win the ball back as soon as possible. On the other hand, Jurgen Klopp’s side will try to use the pace at their disposal to hurt their rivals.

Yash Rathi

I hope Dortmund win the game tomorrow night as they have played some scintillating football this season. They are a young team without much experience at this level and even a defeat would teach the players a lot. It’s been a fairytale story for them thus far and I would love to see them crowned champions to end it as a fairytale.

Bayern though, might have different ideas as they look to erase the painful memories of last season. They have an experienced side with a tactically sound coach and beating them on the night will certainly not be a cake walk. I still go for a victory in the penalty shoot out for Dortmund.

Pratik Akerkar

I’d ideally want Borussia Dortmund to win the Champions League as they have had a dream run in the competition this season. But with chief playmaker Mario Gotze out due to injury, I think Bayern are too strong for Jurgen Klopp’s side. Ribery, Lahm, Mandzukic for Jupp Heynckes' and Gundogan, Lewandowski should be the key men to watch out for.

Bayern's side are playing well as a unit and I predict a 3-1 victory for the Die Roten.

Arpita Javalagi

I want Borussia Dortmund to win the Champions League. I think they have a strong base of young home grown players dominating the squad and that’s one of the major reasons I want to see them succeed.  Their coach also has a strong personality and watching them win the biggest prize in club football will be a good sight.
